Sunset

I have seen it go down over the Jersey Shore, the Pacific Ocean, the Eiffel tower, Mountain tops, western plains, mansions, cabins, barns and several romantic cities, but I have never seen sun fade as beautifully as it does when it illuminates the Mojave sky and makes the Joshua Trees in the Antelope Valley look like the shadows of worshipers being cast against a lustrous canvas.

The colors change from night to night, season to season, it only lasts about fifteen minutes, but this is what the last beams of light do at dusk every day with out fail in my desert.
