The youngest of my little darlings has been accused of not being who she claims to be (or rather, who the people who sold her to us claimed she was) and one of us (I won’t tell you which one because that may be unfair) is crazy enough to believe we did not get what we paid for.
I took our miniature pinscher Heidi to the veterinarian for her booster shots on Saturday. In the exam room the vet told me that when he walked in to the room he thought to himself “I have not seen a manchester terrier for a while” and assumed that was what Heidi was until she saw the paper work said Heidi.
As he examined her, he pointed out this and that part of her structure and told me how it was more manchester terrier than min pin. He told me that in his opinion, a manchester terrier is a better breed any way.
On the way home I called P-wog and told him to Google this unheard of breed. He told me the picture he brought up was “our dog, exactly like our dog.” We read through the history and apparently these manchester terriers (also known as “rat terriers”!) were bread in England in the 1800s as farm house dogs meant to kill rodents. They are hyper, intelligent and loyal. Min Pins on the other hand, were bred in the 1800s as farm house dogs to kill rodents. They are known for being intelligent, loyal and hyper. So you can see why it’s absolutely must know which kind of dog we have, right?
Ok, here is the deal. One of us believes the organization who sold us this rather expensive dog would not lie about her heritage. Another one of us thinks if the vet said it, it must be it’s gotta be true. That one of us would probably jump off a bridge if the vet said it.
After comparing pictured for some time, P-wog looked at me and said, “Obviously we have a blank because I would not want to skew the vote so you might as well blog it!!!” So, well…clearly that is what I am doing.
So, to prove a point (and yes, I have not only his permission to run this poll, but it was his idea) please look at the pictures of our dog below. Then, look at the two previous posts and on this post tell us if you think our dog is an A or a B.

My wife says 'a' is right, so I find that I must go with 'a' as well. She says it's the ears... Who am I to argue?
So.. the two breeds are too similar to tell. I refuse to vote one way or another. Consult the documentation!!!
Whatever B is, that's what she is.
You people are stressing me out. It is really hard to tell. I am going to go with A.
She is a freakin' MIN PIN.
Next I will do a poll on how many of the people I know are clearly blind!
I still say she's B.
I vote for A....it has to do with the muzzle being a little long and narrower than B and it looks like the non puppy pics of Heidi match that, but what do I know.

I would have to agree with all those voted A. Now who needs the glasses? And hey BTW I would agree with a vet too. After all this person has gone to school for animal medicine...I mean really he/she would know right?...well, unless they got the degree by sending in two box tops but if that be the case then really...I think you need a new vet. Sorry dide your breeder...umm yeah is clueless. PEACE!!
We did not get her from a breeder. We got her from a Rescue organization, BUT they did give us the info if we wanted to have her papered as a MIN PIN,which by the way is B.
B. She is a B.
Clearly I know like...three people who are not completely blind.
What is really annoying is how P-wog is walking around the house saying things like, "the manchester terrier is hungry" and what not.
I'd check the paper work. Sorry the dogs an A. Ya know the first step is to admit...lol
