Productive parents

Ya know what I think? Well, you’re ganna!

I think the problem with people in this country today all boils down to parents. Frankly, I don’t think there is nearly enough debates in this country about which combination parents is the most moral and productive for raising proper children.

I mean we suspect it’s probably a two parent home. But I don’t know where that kicks in. I mean, does there need to be two for just one kid? Cause if there does, then don’t two kids need four? Or is it ok to divide time and attention between two kids, but not one kid and one job? And if that’s the case, then are we saying a second kid does not take as much as a full time job? Cause if a kid is not as much as like, say a full time job, what do two parents with only one kid and two parents do with all that free time? Maybe they could get part time jobs, or one just works full time, but he better cut his hours if a second kid is born…

So that is why working mothers make lousy mommies but what about those single parents? It is pretty much those guys, those one parent homes who are screwing the population up, right? Well, not single dads because no single man CHOOSES to be a dad, so if he is, he had to have had it hoisted on his responsible self by some flakey mom. And you have got to be a pretty good guy to take that in, hu?

And you can’t blame all the single mothers for the decay of the American family. Some are that way cause they can’t get married, or did get married but got widowed or left or something. It’s the damn Murphy Browns out there, getting knocked up and deciding to do it alone even when they don’t have to.

And if that were not enough, high estrogen people are trying to raise babies with other high estrogen people and in some cases two guys will even get together and figure between the two of them they can figure out how many blankets to put on or when to make peanut butter and jelly or read a story but from what I gather, God really hates it when the testosterone and estrogen are not evenly distributed in the house.

Phew! I am glad God chimed in on this one because if he had not, rather than debating how we as a nation can make sure all house holds in the nation are at least striving to be a two adult (have we ruled out 3 or 4 parents if there are lots of kids?), balanced sex, not leaving their kids for stuff like jobs house hold.

I’d say tax breaks for people who do it right. I’d say laws that get kids in to group homes and orphanages so they don’t have to be adopted by gay people. But let’s keep butting heads about it so we can keep arguing these things.

The alternative is talking about how a person of any sex, status, in any partnership (or lack of one) with 18 hours a day to devote to the kids, (or 9 each if there are two) or a working person with less than ten, can be a good parent by caring, by paying attention, by keeping tabs on their kids and knowing what they do in their lives, by saying no, by trying, by setting a good example, by giving every thing they have to give, by making kids feel secure, or by letting kids know that career and hard work are important but every thing would be dropped if needed for them.

I am just saying, we don’t want the country coming to that. We don’t want a “good” home to get classified as good just because parents do those things. After all, we have a culture, a way of life, an image to maintain here.

I don't believe parents are fully to blame. (however being a loving parent is required) So keep in mind by no means am I shucking the responsibilty of parents.

Not everything is a learned behavior. Some kids are just darn right evil from birth. No matter what is done the child will still misbehave.

There are always studies being done on serial killer, rapest, and all around bad people to find out why they do what they do. Sometimes it's just a chemical imbalance (how dare nature be the cause) and yeah sometimes it is just a really bad childhood. However even children with really bad parents turn out good. There are millions of examples of this one that comes to mind is David Peltzer. I don't think too many people can compare to what his mother did to him but yet he rose above all that and became something. So if society sucks it's because people just make bad choices. Not because "Mommy just didn't like me, or Daddy was never around".
